Privacy & Security

Dimenu is built to help restaurants comply with privacy laws such as the GDPR. We provide tools — data export, data deletion, and consent controls — so you can meet legal obligations. For contractual guarantees, we provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) on request.

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service: account/contact info (restaurant name, email), reservation & booking details (guest name, contact, reservation time), and usage/analytics data to improve service. We do not sell personal data.

By default reservation records are kept for 6 months (you can customize the retention period). You can export or delete guest lists at any time from the dashboard.

All data is transmitted over secure TLS (HTTPS). We protect stored data with access controls and regular backups. Only authorized personnel and approved third-party processors can access production data, and we require appropriate security safeguards from them.

We only share data with trusted third-party processors that support our service (e.g., payment or email providers). We sign DPAs with processors and never sell your customers’ personal data.
